What happens when confidence replaces competence, faith replaces common sense, and nobody bothers to ask the obvious questions?

Apparently, you get the modern world.

A scientific prediction says November 13, 2026, could mark a rather unfortunate turning point for humanity. Meanwhile, people confidently claim expertise in subjects they barely understand, religious leaders find themselves facing extraordinary fraud allegations, and millions of taxpayer dollars flow through charitable organizations with surprisingly little public scrutiny.

And somehow, we’re supposed to trust that the people in charge know what they’re doing.

This week on What The Frock?, Rabbi Dave and Friar Rod confront a question that ought to make everyone a little uncomfortable: When did asking reasonable questions become an act of rebellion?

It’s a conversation about the uneasy intersection of religion, politics, money, and human gullibility. There’s plenty of disagreement, a healthy dose of sarcasm, and some personal experience that brings the discussion considerably closer to home.

Because sometimes the most dangerous words in the English language aren’t “I don’t know.”

They’re “Trust me. I’m an expert.”

And yes, there are bees. And honey. And a tiger. Don’t ask. Just listen.

Two men of faith. Two very different perspectives. One podcast that refuses to take itself too seriously.
